How to find us

Bowness on Windermere is situated close to the M6 motorway making it easily accessible for guests arriving at local airports, including Manchester.

Windermere railway station is just 1.5 miles from Blenheim Lodge with easy transfers by bus or taxi available.

Travelling from the North

Leave the M6 motorway at the Kendal junction (J 36) and follow the signs to Windermere. Go through Windermere. Follow signs for The Lake, Bowness on Windermere or The Pier. In Bowness, turn first left at the mini roundabout. Turn first left again onto Kendal Road. Then left again onto Brantfell Road. Turn right at the top of Brantfell Road. Blenheim Lodge is on the left hand side.

Travelling from the South

Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and take the A591 (South Lakes) to Windermere. In Windermere turn left to Bowness (about 1.5 miles). In Bowness, turn first left at the mini roundabout. Turn first left onto Kendal Road, and left again onto Brantfell Road. Turn right at the top of Brantfell Road. Blenheim Lodge is on the left hand side.

I booked Blenheim Lodge as a suprise for my new wife for our honeymoon. We were welcomed by Janz and shown into the lounge for tea and biscuits. A lovely view from the lounge over the lake was breathtaking. We were then shown to our room. It was fab... Large and spacious and clean... Furnished to a very high standard... A nice view to the lake and surrounding hills... This was the Fairfield room.

Breakfast had to be selected the previous evening but was not a problem. The cooked breakfast was excellent and they even tried to fry the egg the way the wife likes it... Scrambled egg was excellent as was the crossiant and muffin. The breakfast room was lovely. Robert did an excellent job of looking after us at breakfast, making sure we had what we needed. Janz was helpful and had time to chat when we met her... A lovely B and B and we will be back..
